State of Kansas Employee Mentoring Program

On August 18, 2008, former Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed executive order 08-10 allowing State of Kansas employees the opportunity to positively impact children’s lives through the Kansas Mentors program.

Executive Order 08-10 allows full-time employees in the Executive Branch of the State of Kansas to spend up to 90 minutes of regularly scheduled work time per two-week pay period mentoring with any program which is part of Kansas Mentors' Gold Star Program.  To view a list of Gold Star Programs, look for program listings with the yellow labeling on the Kansas Mentors' Partner Directory.

If you are a state employee please contact your supervisor to find out if you are eligible to receive time to mentor.  To request mentoring time, log onto the State Employee Services Portal site and download “Mentoring Request Form DA-329” under the Employee Benefits section.
